DLP, Inc.

is committed to providing flexible, cost-effective solutions
that grow with you and meet your organization's needs now and in the future.
We specialize in the adaptation of free and Open Source software to meet
the needs of your organization, returning control of your organization to YOU!

Our founder is Dave Parker, an Information Technology veteran with more than 26 years experience, with a skill set ranging from programming in COBOL in large IBM mainframe environments and C on UNIX and PC/MS-DOS platforms, to administration of UNIX/Linux/Windows systems.   Dave has extensive experience with UNIX/Linux/Windows networked environments, including internet broadband connectivity, firewalling, and remote office connectivity.

DLP, Inc. offers services to organizations in the Kansas City area that include system and network installation, configuration, and administration, and hardware and software troubleshooting, upgrades, and repair. We can advise you how best to update your computer systems and network to achieve maximum value for your organization, as well as troubleshoot performance, reliability, and security problems.

For those organizations who must still rely on legacy Windows systems and applications, we have found a networked Windows and Linux/UNIX environment using Samba  to be a cost-effective networking solution. For more information on this subject,  read Dave's article  from the June 1998 Greater Kansas City Computer User, and the  update  from the June 2000 issue.

For the most secure, reliable, and cost-effective solution of all - one that will free you forever from the endless cycle of windows upgrades and recurring costs - ask us about The Linux Terminal Server Project.

If you have short to medium term or ongoing IT project needs that can't be met by your current staffing levels, please take a look at  my resume  to get an idea of whether I may be able to offer you some help.
